What do I have to do?

With support, mentor and student will draw up a Learning Contract setting out the objectives for the scheme, and how they can achieve them. The aim is to build a mutually supportive relationship, with the objectives that could include;


How are mentors and students matched?

We match mentors to students based on certain criteria, namely, career area/course studied and gender. We hope that relevant business skills mentors possess can be matched with courses being studied, but we cannot guarantee this. Indeed, it is not the only objective of the scheme.

The most important element is that mentors and students build a relationship which provides both parties with development opportunities, regardless of business sector and course studies.

The personal challenge for mentors is to offer assistance to students in a supportive manner.
